Shrub's Wood is a Grade II* listed 'Moderne' detached country house in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, England. It was designed by Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff between 1933 and 1934 for ?? and was an attempt at a Modernist interpretation of the traditional English country house.
Shrubs Wood was originally named Nimmo House, before being renamed by Bridget D'Oyly Carte when she bought the property in 1949.

Poirot & Other Media Coverage

Shrubs Wood has been used as a period location for film and TV series such as Poirot, Midsummer Murders and in the ITV Endeavour episode 'Arcadia'.

In the Poirot episode 'The Double Clue' it was used as the country home of jewellery collector Marcus Hardman where a theft occurs.
It was also used as the home of the movie producer Basil Blake in 'The Body In The Library'. It was used to represent a clinic in the grounds of Castle in the ITV Marple episode ‘Why Didn’t They Ask Evans’ (S4 Ep4) starring Geraldine McKewan.
